16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence against Women Campaign 2023 begins

This year, we have joined various activities and initiatives as part of the annual international campaign 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence Against Women again.

Our main activity is an online campaign focusing on women’s experiences with different institutions they sought protection and help from as a result of abusive behaviour of their current or former husband or partner. These are institutions that are responsible for the protection of women experiencing violence and their children, such as the police, the prosecutor’s office, the courts, and child protection authority.

As part of this campaign, which you can follow on our social networks, we have created a campaign video spot, which is also focused on women’s experiences with various institutions. „When institutions don’t listen, women are invisible“ is the campaign title and slogan.

The concept of this campaign was developed in cooperation with our colleagues from Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary and Greece, who are implementing the campaign in their countries.

The campaign concept and video spot was created within the project “Protection of victims of gender-based violence – response to pandemic challenges (RISKFREE)” financed by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values programme (CERV) of the European Commission.

“Funded by the European Union. Views and opinions expressed are however those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union or [name of the granting authority]. Neither the European Union nor the granting authority can be held responsible for them.”
